I dont know that I need an automated hot tub but I just added to my project plate an integration FOR the tub to put a waterproof membrane button panel on it specifically for MQTT integration. I am going to draw from the AC supply and do a buck converter to feed an ESP32 (rapidly becoming my favorite flavor of it hardware) so I can do stuff like turn on and off some exterior lighting and what not all from the tub. Ordered up a couple ac to DC bucks and need to make sure to not create a shock hazard in my design! 
there will be no soup being made in my tub!
